Jon Lee
Jon Lee is the Founder and Bartender of Penrose KL, one of Malaysia’s most celebrated cocktail bars. Since opening in 2022, Penrose has earned its place among Asia’s best — debuting on the prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Bars list in 2023 and leaping 42 places in 2024 to claim the Nikka Highest Climber Award and the title of Best Bar in Malaysia.
Before Penrose, Jon trained in the culinary arts, giving him a deep understanding of flavour and technique. He then moved to Singapore’s acclaimed Tippling Club, where he refined his craft and developed a philosophy rooted in precision, storytelling, and discipline.
